Cynthia Higgins' Bio
Acknowledging that the land on which she lives and works is the traditional territory of the Sḵwxwú7mesh, U̒xwumixw and St ̍át ̍y ̍emc Nations she extends respect and gratitude to the Indigenous peoples of this land both past and present.
Cynthia Higgins was first elected as a Trustee to the Sea to Sky School Board in 2018 and re-elected in the 2022 municipal election. She has held the role of Vice Chair of the Board since 2021 and is a member of several board committees. Cynthia and her husband call Whistler home and are the parents of two children. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education and is committed to practicing good governance and believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential tools for ensuring that our District's Strategic Plan will be effective, and efficient and lead to excellent outcomes for students, staff and of course families.
