In response to continuing weather concerns and in an abundance of caution, we have closed Blackwater Creek Elementary School today, December 1st. We have temporarily suspended school bus transportation in the affected area north of Blackwater Creek Elementary school.

Due to the unavailability of bus drivers, Bus Route 3 in Squamish is cancelled for the AM only on Tuesday, November 30. We apologize for this inconvenience.

On the evening of November 18, 2021, members of the Líl̓wat Nation and the Board of Education School District No.48 gathered at Ts’zil Learning Centre in Mount Currie, BC, for the official signing of the Local Education Agreement between the two parties.

Brackendale Elementary School's Virtual Remembrance Day Program, hosted by Mr. Grantham’s Grade 5 & 6 Class, is available for public viewing on the school's website on Wednesday, November 10, at 9 am. Everyone, family, friends, and community members are invited to participate virtually. BRE students will participate in classes on November 10th at 11 am.

Chris Nicholson officially took over as SD48's superintendent of schools on Nov 1.

On October 22nd, all elementary schools in our district participated in the Cross Country Meet at Garibaldi Highlands Elementary. It was a great turnout with over 200 students participating.

With an intention to create meaningful relationships within our community, the children and educators of Brackendale Childcare created this ‘Peace Wreath’.
