Technology Plan

School District No. 48 is committed to creating an environment that supports and encourages the use of technology as a means to enhance the learning experience for all students. This is an exciting time in education British Columbia, where all of our practices are being examined and change and innovation are very much in the forefront.

In an effort to provide current and relevant opportunities in the Sea to Sky corridor, School District No. 48 will be matching, then exceeding a substantial grant from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation to upgrade our hardware. We will be purchasing desktop and laptop computers, projectors and document cameras, tablets, Internet servers, as well as a WiFi system for every school in the district. School District No. 48 is also committed to supporting its educators through workshops and training sessions to be technologically literate and fully capable of meeting their professional educational goals.
